This dynamic class is designed to encourage beginning readers and writers to love great books and enjoy the writing process. Throughout the course, students will learn how to write complete sentences, whole paragraphs, and their own creative stories. Games, art projects, and group work will help lay a foundation for a lifelong love of literature! Students will average reading one book per week and complete simple homework assignments. The work load is entirely flexible, based on each student’s ability, and the teacher will work closely with parents to provide a personalized program that is challenging, but never overwhelming.
