Session Details:
Algebra 2 is a two-semester A-G course that covers all California state standards for Algebra 2. This is a full-curriculum course that does not need to be supplemented with any outside materials. Depending on the student’s plan for higher education, this class can be taken as part of an Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 sequence (recommended for students that take Algebra 1 9th grade or earlier) OR Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometric sequence (recommended for students that take Algebra 1 in 10th Grade). Honors Credit Add-on (Charter approval needed) is available for students. Students will enrich their course experience by exploring the applications of the concepts they learned through project based learning. This course is strategically designed to prepare students for College Level Examination Program (CLEP) tests, offering a powerful pathway to academic acceleration and college readiness. By mastering course content and potentially passing CLEP exams, students can:
- Earn college credits while still in middle/high school
- Reduce future college tuition costs by thousands of dollars
- Demonstrate advanced academic capabilities to prospective schools
- Skip introductory college courses and move directly into more advanced studies
- Build confidence in standardized testing and college-level academic skills
- Get a head start on college curriculum and degree requirements
For self-paced classes, you will be given access to the material one unit at a time. Even though there are no actual due dates, there are suggested ones to help you finish the course by the end of the school year. Students have the freedom to move faster or slower as needed.
