Description

Explore the exciting world of chemistry and physics in this hands-on course designed for 8th-10th grade students! Students will dive into essential concepts, conduct real-world experiments, and learn how physical science applies to everyday life. The course also covers earth and physical science topics to help 8th graders prepare for the California State Science Exam. Students in 9th-10th grade earning high school credit will tackle more advanced assessments, lab reports, and projects. Weekly 90-minute sessions include engaging lectures and hands-on labs, with all lab supplies provided for in-person students. This A-G certified course (with your charter school or PSP approval) counts as one of the two required high school lab science credits. Each student will complete an exciting science fair project, and a working knowledge of Algebra 1 is essential for success. From chemical reactions to the laws of motion, this course is a fun and interactive way to discover the wonders of physical science!
