Description

This course is for older middle school students (8th grade). It has been specifically designed to educate your student with the knowledge of everything Earth-related including the stars and planets, weather, rocks and minerals, and mountains and soil! In addition, this class meets the CA Science Standards (NGSS) that focus on physical science by asking meaningful questions and conducting careful investigations in motion, forces, chemical reactions, density and buoyancy, and much more. Each week will have a live lecture and hands-on lab. Textbook reading, homework questions, lab paperwork, and tests will be completed by the student at home. A science fair project will be completed by each student at the end of the 2nd semester. Two (optional) field trips will be offered during the year. All lab supplies are provided when students are in person.
