Designed for students in 9th grade, this interactive social studies course provides students with a solid foundation from which to study all other social sciences. Students will develop a working knowledge of all political and physical features of geography and will also learn about the people and cultures in those places. Subjects like trade and commerce, weather and natural disasters, religion, culture, politics, and socioeconomic influences all contribute to an understanding of how a region’s landscape uniquely affects how its cultures develop. Students can also expect to discuss current events and how they can facilitate change and impact the world.
