This is a one year advanced course in American Sign Language Level 3. Throughout this course, students will master comprehension, expression, language fluency and proficiency. Extensive study through all letters in the Gallaudet ASL dictionary will ensure in students a strong vocabulary recognition and use. Students will further encounter and explore Deaf culture and history, gaining advanced cultural awareness. Students will work towards mastering confidence in active communication, and conversational fluidity. Students will understand the use of ASL in wide variety of settings from casual to professional. Students will be educated and evaluated on grammar use and sentence structure, comprehension and receptive skills, vocabulary, authentic signed presentations, as well as cultural assignments and discussions.
