Throughout this beginner/introductory course, students will learn to communicate, express, and converse using American Sign Language. Students will participate in classes designed to teach ASL interactively and comprehensively, as a foreign language. This course covers: the manual alphabet, fingerspelling, basic use of numbers, language rules, syntax, grammar structures, extensive vocabulary, basic conversational skills, basic knowledge of Deaf history, awareness of Deaf culture and so much more! Together we’ll encounter a new culture, grow in a unique language, and work towards fluency!
